Loxton High School

Document Design | 2022 & 2024

Refresh of internal and external documents for Loxton High School.

THE BRIEF:

To redesign two documents creating a style of consistent branding and ease of reading.

The privilege to represent and give back to the school that gave so much to me is something I cannot explain.

CURRICULUM HANDBOOKS

Junior Handbook - 31 pages
Middle + Senior Handbook - 77 pages

The brief was to design a handbook that was easy to read, but on an editable platform for years to come. The information was fleshed out to spread over a few more pages (creating accessibility of reading), which created two more cohesive documents. Each year level had a different associated colour, making it easy for families to flick through and see what’s for them. They also included brand new photos, taken by Karen Jericho from Loveday Studio, which reflected the amazing school and complimented each page perfectly! New pages, new layout of flowcharts, all active hyperlinks and new photos make the handbooks so special!

PROSPECTUS

A Prospectus is a super crucial marketing document, providing prospective families with the answers around what they can find at the school. The Prospectus lightly details the Teaching and Learning, Achievements, Extra-Curricular Activities, Whole School Activities, General Information and much more - all things that make the school one of the best in the Riverland. The old version of this was completely outdated, so it was time for a massive refresh and revamp, along with keeping it consistent.

BRANDING GUIDELINES

In early 2024, the executive staff came to me to help streamline the High School’s branding, clearing up the colours, typefaces, and whole branding suite. To achieve this, I redesigned an internal and external letterhead, email signatures, provided them with accurate coloured logos, and created a brand guidelines document shared throughout the staff to ensure consistency across the whole school.
