Working at Destination Riverland was incredible, there’s nothing quite like promoting the place your grew up in, and what a place it is! The Riverland is so diverse, each town has something amazing to offer - and capturing the essence of seasonal activities was so important.

My role ranged from managing the social media accounts, to working closely with our Industry Connectors (Riverland Tourism Businesses), to updating and streamlining the website, and regularly connecting with our Board. This meant undertaking tasks such as creating social schedules, posting content and reporting on statistics, designing monthly newsletters and sharing industry updates in our private Facebook group, as well as general admin tasks to keep the organisation afloat.

I was also lucky enough to be part of the roll out of our large campaign, Riverlanders Part Two, and a smaller campaign, Riverland Small Winemakers, alongside SA proud marketing company, Commshake. They were both incredible projects, being there from the planning stages to the roll out and reporting stages saw so much growth and really made me understand the importance of a well-planned campaign.
